Corian is the original solid surface material. It was invented in 1967 by DuPont, the first manufacturer of solid surface materials in the world. It is a durable, non-porous, homogeneous surface material, consisting in approx. 1/3 of acrylic resin and approx. 2/3 of natural minerals. It is available in a palette of 100 colours.

Corian is a versatile material that has various uses in a kitchen. Corian worktops, for example, are a great alternative for stone countertops. Not only do they come in a variety of colours and patterns – be they plain and matte or stone-patterned and shiny, bright orange or obsidian – but they are also very easy to clean, are stain and scratch-resistant, and do not require veneer or coating.
